My Battle.net Diablo II character(s) give me the Player Not Found error.

The following method has helped some players eliminating this error.

1- Log on the account which has the lost character.
2- Create a new character on that account.
3- Enter and exit any game with the new character.
4- Retry the previously not found character.

My server list (USEast, USWest, Europe and Asia) is corrupted.

A third party program (such as a hack or crack) decided that you wanted to play on non-battle.net servers. To regain access to the official Battle.net servers, delete that third party program and follow these instructions carefully.

1.      Click on Start then Run.

2.      Type regedit and click OK.

3.      Click on the + icon beside the HKey_Local_Machine branch.

4.      Click on the + icon beside the Software branch.

5.      Select the Battle.net branch and press the delete key.

6.      Click on the + icon beside the HKey_Current_User branch.

7.      Click on the + icon beside the Software branch.

8.      Select the Battle.net branch and press the delete key.

AOL Related Issues

>> Install the latest patch of the game.

>> Reset your server list.

>> Make sure your AOL account does not have parental controls enabled, or make sure you are using the main login. Battle.net seems to be marked as a restricted domain by AOL.

Unable to connect to Battle.net using a router or firewall.

Make sure the following ports are opened.

Diablo, Warcraft II : Battle.net Edition and Starcraft (Brood War)

Port 6112-6119 TCP and UDP in/out

Diablo II (Lord of Destruction)

Port 6112 TCP in/out

Port 4000 TCP out (for closed Battle.net realm games)

Port 4000 TCP in/out (for hosting on Open Battle.net or TCP/IP games)

Warcraft III (Frozen Throne)

Port 6112 TCP in/out

Port 6112 TCP in (for hosting custom games)

Port 6113-6119 TCP in/out (for hosting custom games if you have changed the default ports in the Options/General menu)
